The Asia Pacific Youth Development Foundation’s (AYF) first annual dinner was successfully held on December 6. Over 70 members and guests came together on a Friday evening to discuss and exchange views on the theme “Our Future”. We are pleased to have Dr Simon Shen, a renowned international relations scholar, to be our keynote speaker, and joined the dialogue with our two youth representatives, Cherry Chiang from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Justin Chan from Wah Yan College, Hong Kong.
We are glad to have 80 fellow members and friends joining our first Annual Dinner, including Ms Emily Lau, an international affairs expert, to share her insights with our guests. Our keynote speaker, Simon, encouraged students and youth to understand Hong Kong’s position in the international community, and to equip ourselves for the future challenges.
AYF is committed to our mission of grooming innovation talents. Over the past year, we have organised our first international exchange programme to explore Singapore’s Future Economy, as well as a series of “Thursday Dialogue” programmes. In the coming year, we have put in plan many more exciting programmes including a youth delegation to Taiwan – we need your continuous support as we move into 2020 and beyond.
Last but not least, we would like to express our most sincere gratitude to all your support to AYF, and in particular to our sponsors – MTR Corporation, Pronet Insight Limited and the Hong Kong NGO Development Centre, for their generous contribution to the organisation. See you next year!
